Mind == Blown
So I spent almost all my free time reading 2 books back to back, “Rework” by Jason Fried & David Heinemeier Hannson (http://37signals.com/rework/) and “Getting Real” by 37Signals (https://gettingreal.37signals.com/) I will STRONGLY recommend the 1st book to anyone alive… it’ has changed my views on a lot things (mostly work related) but it really brings a lot of clarity to decisions that I have to focus on and things in my life. The second book is more for application development (which is what I do) but still has a lot of principles that apply to other events in life.
I would recommend that some (or all) of the Footlighter’s board members read “Rework”. With they way we operate and the events of the past few seasons, a fresh perspective on how we could be doing things might help us get out of the red and become a stronger theater. The ideas in this book can help us trim board “bloat” like we are suffering from now as well as other operating procedures and bureaucracy that has become turn-offs for board members. Please consider it.
